Backup to rotating USB HDDs

Thread needs solution

Hi all,

My first post here, be gentle!

I have a client who is using TI2014 on two PCs (used for personal and work related purposes). These PCs reside in an office above a commercial kitchen. The risk of fire cannot be ignored so what I'm hoping to do is the following;\

1. Assign the two USB HDDs with a specified drive letter
2. Setup a schedule which performs a full backup and six differentials (7 days)
3. On the eighth day the next USB HDD is inserted whilst the previous weeks backups are taken offsite
4. Rinse and repeat weekly

So I went about setting this up, everything seemed to be working nicely for that first week UNTIL the second USB HDD got plugged in, then the users where getting prompts to intervene (insert the previous drive) and of course, the backup fails.

As far as I can tell, Acronis simply won't support multiple drives. Can anyone steer me in the right direction??

You have to create 2 separate tasks, one pointing at each backup disk; each backup disk should have a different drive letter. Of course, the task with the missing disk will fail until the disk is reattached.
