Backup runs forever after ingoring sector read error
Running build 6613 on XP SP3.
Backup gives error message sector read error.
Disc has gone through CHKDSK /f /r which indicates no errors.
After clicking "ignore all" the program continues to backup however it indicates backing up over 200GB of data when there is only approx. 152GB to backup. The backup indicates 10 hours to go and continues to show much more data backed up than exists on the computer.
Why is an read error being indicated?
Will this ever stop?
Can the backup be valid?
Thanks.
UPDATE........
Deleting and creating a new backup task now has the backup ending properly. A disk sector error is still being indicated. Ignoring the error results in what looks like a good, complete backup. Backup validates correctly.
Can anything be done about this erroneous error message?
Thank you.
