Backup software

Thread needs solution

I'm going to be backing up an office system and to an external drive. If the external drive has backup software on it already will that interfere with True Image?

It should not interfere but do put the backup into its own folder on the external.
If you never use the external drive backup software, I moved all its files into a folder of its own so it no longer resides on the root drive of the external.

Do make sure though that you haven't activated (installed) the other software it could clash depending on who it is by.

Colin,
As I understand the question, all he is asking of the external is to store a file.

Yes, Grover, I wasn't contradicting you, but I recall some WD Book backup drives have the annoying habit of auto activating their disk imaging software, but I don't think the newer versions use the same software..
