Backup stops at 2%

Thread needs solution

Hi,
I've been running TI 11.0 home successfully for some time. I recently got a new Vista machine and want to make backups for it. I was able to install TI and copy my files over to the new PC. Great!

Now however, I can't make a backup from the new Vista machine.

I installed build 8101, but it didn't help. I'm able to create a scheduled backup, and it activates at the proper time. But no matter how long I let it run, the backup never gets past 2%. The same thing happens if I try to manually start a backup.

I'm trying to copy a partitioned drive to an external USB 2 drive on Vista Home Premium (build 6001) SP1 (64-bit).

I've been trying different things for over a week, but now I'm frustrated. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Hello Chris,

Thank you for using Acronis Products

Could you please check the disks for errors?

- Go to the Command Prompt (Start -> Run -> cmd)

- Enter the command: "chkdsk DISK: /r" (where DISK is the partition letter you need to check) for every partition that is visible in My Computer. Please note, that checking the C: drive may require you to reboot the machine.

If the issue persists update SnapAPI drivers using the following KB article
