Backup stops on "Locking partition C:..."

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate and Acronis True Image Home 2010 and everytime I perform a Disk and Partition backup, it stops at the 5% mark with the message

"Locking partition C:..."

The system then freezes and I have to power cycle my laptop.
I had previously used Acronis True Image Home 2009 with Vista and had no problems. Any help grealy appreciated.

Same issue here, on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. The only way to get the system running again is a hard reset. This happens on both disk/partition backups and file level backups. I'm currently in my trial period with True Image Home 2010, build 6029.

Sounds identical to the problem described in the following thread:

Try installing Build 5055 (the previous one).
