Backup strategy recommandation.

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I am using ATI2011. I use a system for gaming and some local development. I use an external eSata 2gb drive for backup. My current backup is a custom scheme :

Backup Method : differential
Create Full version after 10 differential versions
Keep size of the backup no more than 999gb (wish I could go highter)

My backup is set on weekly : Tue, Thu and sunday.

Usually with full compression, my full backup is around 140gb and the differentials goes around 60-100gb

I know that using PerfectDisk 12 can make differentials bigger that so far my system is now very low fragmented.

Is it a good strategy? Should I also activate the nonstop backup on my user folder to be sure of being able to restore to the most recent backup in case of a crash?

I used to make a backup on every sunday. I had a crash this week and had to restore to the last sunday I had. Not to bad but I wish I had sooner hehe.

My system :
Windows 7 Pro, Intel I7 950, 12Gb Ram, 2x750gb in Raid 0, GTX 580. ATI2011 (6868)
