backup of system drive fails - symlink issue?

I've backed up my system drive before. However, I tried to backup recently and got an error.

followed directions, I am using the latest (2013) and still have the error.

The only thing I've done to the PC that might cause an issue is used a symlink (mklink) on some of my folders ... users \appdata and video folders.

Trying to determine my options. Currently, my best option might be to remove the symlink and try the backup again.
