Backup to two different locations
HI,
I have a computer at a location where I want to back it up to a NAS located hundreds of miles away on the same VPN network. The backup over the VPN, but when I do a full backup it would take weeks to do the backup because of the slow VPN speed.
What I want to do is create the full backup where the computer is located to a Flash Drive, then take the Flash Drive to the other location and save it on the NAS, then when I do the backups over the VPN it will only backup the changes - which doesn't take very long.
Unfortunately I can't figure out how to change the destination of the backup (initially my Flash Drive, and for all other backups my NAS (network address).
Looking around it appears that this is not possible. Is that correct? If so my only other option would be to drive my computer to the location where the NAS is located, do the backup, then bring the computer back.
I tried creating a drive letter for the Flash Drive that I could change to the NAS (Network address), and Windows worked, but the backup would not write to my drive letter.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Joe
