Backup unsuccessful
I have True Image Home 2009. I also am trying to backup the C drive on a Windows7, I7, 64bit computer. I have tried this 3 times, each time it has failed. Does 2009 work on my type of computer? If so, what could be the problem?
Thanks

Hello Joe and GroverH,
Let me address this situation.
Unfortunately, Acronis True Image Home 2009 does not support Windows 7. It's supported by Acronis True Image Home 2010. However, we've faced some cases when customers were able to use it with Windows 7. We have the special article about Windows 7 support.
GroverH suggested you a good thing - please try to perform the operations using Acronis Bootable Media. To create it please follow: Tools -> Create bootable rescue media. Then boot your machine from it and you will be able to use Acronis True Image without booting any OS.
Acronis Bootable Rescue Media is a standalone version of Acronis True Image Home, burned onto a CD and based on a Linux operating system. So you will be able to back your system up.
Also, we have implemented the possibility to download the appropriate ISO file after logging into your account (the serial number should be registered). This option is available for the current and (n-1) versions. Please log in to your account, go to the Registered products and downloads section -> Bootable media. Download the file.
To get access to the ISO you should first register Acronis software.
You can find more information on how to burn an ISO image to a CD here.
This should help. If the product still does not work for some reason - please describe the situation in details and provide me with the exact text of error messages (if any), I will investigate the situation and assist you to resolve it.
Regards,
