Hello:

I guess you can back up an image to a NAS with USB ports (in which USB drives are inserted), but is it possible to use TI to back up an image to a flash drive in a regular USB port in the computer?

As long as TI sees it correctly, you can use it to save the backup. Note that if you plan to restore from an image on a flashdrive, boot to the TI CD and make sure it can successfully validate the image. Sometimes there are problems reading from flashdrives.
