aprendo,

Paragraph 4.3.19 in the user manual, on page 56 covers "Performance of backup operation".  Maximum compression and low priority can significantly increase backup time. However, 24 hours for a 150Gb backup is excessive.  Prior to installing my NAS, my 150Gb backups to a USB 2 HD took about 2 hours.

You mention that your antivirus program is Windows Defender. I don't know much about Windows Defender, but any antivirus program could impact backup time if it is checking the TIB files as they are being created.

One thing you might try is during your next backup operation, call up Task Manager and see which programs are using a lot of CPU time. If Windows Defender is using a lot of CPU time, then you could see if there is a way to set Windows Defender to "Trust" ATI2015.

Hope this helps.

FtrPilot

is not finished yet

102.1 GB procesed

4 hours 44 minutes remaining

I have closed many residents but the problem seem continue.

I have deactivate windows defender

Note : i am backing up a laptop Asus Model X555LD-XX056H under windows 8.1

Finally the backup finished with the last interminable minute.

Now I would like to know how to solve this problem. The antivirus seems not to be in relation with the issue.

May be a question of inadequate drivers ?

May be a question of hardware ?

I will try in internal hard drive o other type external ones and comment in the next week
