Backup on Win 7 32 and restore to win 7 64 - 2 options

I have a PC using win 7 32bit. I have and use TrueImage Home 11 with plus pack.

I want to upgrade to windows 7 64bit (to be able to use more memory), and as my existing PC is win 7 64bit compatable I have 2 options.

1 - fresh install onto present PC of windows 7 64 bit

2 Buy new PC with win 7 64 installed.

Can I restore my TrueImage backup to either or both of the 2 options?

If not, can I restore any programs from the backup without having to re-install the originals?

If not, then presumably only data, jpgs etc can be restored in either scenario.
