Backup/Datensicherung bricht ab

Thread needs solution

Hallo,

habe folgendes Problem mit ATI 11: Beim letzten Versuch eine differentielle Datensicherung durchzuführen, lief das Programm plötzlich ohne jede Fehlermeldung nicht mehr weiter. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt war das Backup bereits zu 98% abgeschlossen. Der Versuch ein vollständiges Backup der Daten zu starten endete identisch.
Habe seit dem letzten Backup, bei dem noch alles einwandfrei lief, keine Änderung am System vorgenommen.

If I correctly understood you, you are using Acronis True Image 11 Home. The program freezes when you try to create a differential backup. 
What is the build number of your program? You can find out the build number by selecting "Help" option, "About". Do you try to backup your partitions or data files? Could you please clarify where backup location is placed (whether it's on internal, external, or network hard drive)? 
Please also provide us with the log file of the failed operation:
- Start Acronis True Image; 
- Select Tools -> Show log;
- Choose the log entry which contains errors;
- Click on the diskette icon, choose the location (folder) and save there;
- Attach the file to your next post.

I've checked the log you've specified and it point onto the fact that it cannot access some particular file. Unfortunately there's no additional information about it, so we'll need some more investigation data. Could you please provide us with the following? 

  1. Acronis Info from the problem machine
  2. Acronis Report from the problem machine

This information will help us to localize the issue and find an appropriate solution.

Where do I find Acronis Info and acronis report?

Thank you for your reply and for keeping me posted, I appreciate it!

According to the logs there are some issues on the drive as well as the build you're using is an outdated one. So in order to solve the issue let's do the following: 

  1. Please go to Start -> Run -> cmd and issue the following command there
    chkdsk /r /f
    And reboot the machine. On booting up it will check the HDD for issues and improve them
  2. Please register you product license here, and download the laest build of it (7046) from here.
  3. Remove the current version by means of Add/Remove programs
  4. Install the program from the latest build installation file

See whether the issue persists.

Should it be present, please kindly resend me Acronis Report and Acronis Info. (Acronis Report usually is placed on the desktop and Acronis Info output - to the same folder you've saved the tool to).

Please keep me posted about this issue, so that I could provide you with further assistance if required.

i did everything you told me - and .... 1st backup was sucessfull

Only thing - my system ist very much slower than bevore i installed the new version

But maybe that is the price for having backups
