Blank (no entry characters of any kind) as Allowable (and used!) Windows Password
In setting up both my two home desktops (Vista, Win 7), I was able to use blank (no entry characters of any kind) as my actual Windows passwords. Acronis TI 2011 configuration requires some kind of character entry in the password fields; otherwise email backups cannot be automated on a schedule. However, no such password requirement exists for Documents (Files) backups. I have two questions for the Acronis pros:
1. Since blank (no entry) works on Windows as a password, why isn't Acronis set up to allow whatever works as a password on Windows? Blank (no entry) is a natural and likely common choice for basic home users; and those who want extra security can use any level of password complexity they chose.
2. Why is the password required for email backup scheduling but not for documents backup scheduling? Both backups are equally personal, so I can imagine no rationale here to include the one and exclude the other.
Does Acronis have any plans to respond to the above issues with the first round of fine-tuning on TI 2011?
FYI, I already bypass password logons; that is not the issue here.
[Apologies for my earlier, simliar post; it was so poorly worded that I had to try again.]
