Blank screen in True Image 11

Thread needs solution

I backed up 3 partitions. All pass validation. The 2 logical partitions were restored but I cannot restore the active partition. When I boot with the disc, the screen goes blank. When I use the program from the hard disk, the screen goes blank on the reboot. Any ideas. I am really stuck!

Are you saying that you used the TI Rescue CD to restore the system? If yes, then redo the restore but this time check the disk as the item to be restored. This is assuming that all 3 partitions are part of the same system disk.

If you have trouble with the normal system rescue Cd, then visit your registration page and download the available ISO file for burning as a Rescue CD.

Hello,

GroverH, your are right, thanks for the assistance.

Ned, as GroverH mentioned, you need to use an alternate version of bootable media if the standard one doesn't work. This special bootable media is based on ISOLINUX bootloader. ISOLINUX Bootable Media is usually more up to date than the Acronis Loader one. This is due to the fact a new version of Acronis Bootable Media is uploaded to the website more frequently than regular product updates are released and ISOLINUX Bootable Media has several boot parameters that may help overcome possible issues with booting.

  1. Log in to your account (if you do not have one, you will need to create it);
  2. Once logged in, click My Products & Downloads:

  3. Scroll down to the registered product and click Bootable Media:

  4. Click Download:

  5. Acronis Bootable Media will be downloaded as an ISO file. See Burning an ISO Image.

Please reply to this thread if you need any additional help.

Thank you.
