blue screen of death when running ATI2010 on Windows 7, Ultimate 64bits or when shutting down Windows
For 2 months ATI2010 worked smootlhy on Windows 7, Ultimate 64 bits.
But since some weeks Non Stop backup seems to be not working anymore.
Everytime I now start ATI2010, after it has started up I get a blue screen of death.
Same blue screen of death if I try to actitvate Non Stop function.
And since a few days I now even have the blue screen of death while Windows is shutting down
Trying to uninstall ATI2010... delivers me.... the same blue screen of death....
It looks like ATI2010 has ruined my complete Windows-installation, that was highly stable before ATI2010 was generating these problems ???
I hope the Acronis-team can find a solution.
I bought ATI2010 to have my data safe, not to ruine it.

Thank you for fast reply, Colin.
1) Windows updates : I am a licensed user of Windows, so I let windows updater do all the necessary installs. So in August as in all other months, I received several Windows-updates.
2) I use Norton Antivirus & Firewall, so I do not use Avira
3) I wanted to uninstall TI2010 to re-install it afterwards, but uninstalling did bring me the same blue screen of death
after I posted my first mail, I managed to remove NSB from my start up menu, and now I am free of blue screens
but.... I am not NSB-protected, while this NSB-protection was an important reason why I decided to buy TI2010 some months ago
thanks in advance for your help
of course when 2010:7046 will be released I will immediately install it

I thought I was the only one with this problem. Because of the inconvenience I haven't even backed up my drives in a while. Has anyone heard of an update that works. BTW I am running Win 7 Home Premium 32 Bit. Also my version of Arconis Home 2010 also stopped working in August. W need to petition the company to fix this issue (if they haven't addressed it already). I hate the idea of their Pay-Per-Incident clause of their customer support. Like someone else posted, I cannot uninstall the stupid thing :-(

What are the BSOD codes and text?
Ric,
When you say stopped working, could you be more explicit? What build of 2010?

Hey Colin,
Thanks for the reply. BSODs are annoying to the point where I never checked the codes from the system dump. I thought that I had just installed a bad driver. At the time I was using the original open-box build of ATI Home 2010 (I don't know the build number). It started failing whenever I clicked on the desktop icon to launch product. Also if I tried uninstalling it would cause crash.
In different news, I updated to build 7046 and no more BSOD. The only thing that is slightly off is that the icon has been replaced by a generic one. (I'm reading other forums to correct this). Thanks again

Dear Colin,
two months further andso far there is not a solution... and no reaction at all from Acronis after I send them e-mail weeks ago...
They simply do nothing...
They create incidents (Blue Screens Of Deaht) with their non stop backup functionality and then force to pay per incident ????
Is this the Acronis policy ????

MS has a hotfix that appears to address this problem.
