Blue Screen When Trying to Make USB Backup Restore (WindowsPE) for DELL XPS 15 9570 Windows 10

Thread needs solution

Hello everyone.  I have a Dell XPS 15 9570 with solid state harddrive.  I can boot Acronis from existing USB Backup/Restore.  Acronis detects all storage devices with not issues.  However when executing a Recovery process Acronis does not see the solid state HD.  It was suggested to make a USB backup/recovery from the WindowsPE but i will need to download the Windows Automated Installation Kit.  I tried all the ones on Dell Support Download site and recieve the same results from each.  When trying to make Backup and Recovery USB/.iso computer goes bluescreen and crashes.  Any suggestions how to do a successful recovery process with solid state hard drive?

Thanks

Ernest, welcome to these public User Forums.

My first question here: what actual version of Acronis software are you using here?

This forum is intended for the discussion of older / obsolete Acronis applications the majority of which were never intended for use with Windows 10 and some may have been released before SSD's became common in use.

Ernest, thanks for confirming the version which makes the product Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5 and a business product.

You will need to raise this topic in one of the Acronis Business Products forums such as the Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 & 11 forum where you will find people who have experience of using these products (which I do not have).

Picking up on your reference to the Windows Automated Installation Kit - WAIK only applied to older versions of Windows such as Win 7.

For Windows 10 then you need two downloads, the Windows ADK & PE Kits installers which can be downloaded from Windows ADK download
