Boot delay after installation
After upgrade from Acronis TI to 2009 Vista takes 15 minutes to boot. I've uninstalled and reinstalled ATI twice, when uninstalled there is no boot delay. There is a fifteen minute boot delay (screen goes dark after progress bar runs for a few seconds) only after ATI installed. I've used the upgrade option, then uninstalled, and reinstalled clean, same delay occurs.

Hey Richard:
Thank you for your help. I had suspected the problem might be a Windows update. Trying to determine which one is another story.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled about 15 updates thus far and of course for each one it takes a reboot to see if the machine boots in an acceptable amount of time.
If per chance I find the culpret, you might have known its Mother Microsoft up to her usual tricks, I'll be sure to let you know.

Michael,
The time between the banner and the login screen was 10 seconds. A couple of days ago I installed a "recommended" update. The time is now 20 seconds. Since it is still pretty small, I guess I can't complain.
