Boot Disk Capabilities
I have several computers with True Image Home 2009. One of them won't boot and I can't locate the True Image boot disk for that machine. I tried the boot disk for one of the other machines and it starts out with the screen where I choose between starting Acronis True Image Home 2009 (Full Version) or Windows. When I choose Acronis, it goes to the blue screen with the picture of the computer under a bubble. After a minute, it goes to a black screen with the following white text:
Loading, please wait...
Kernel panic - not syncing: FGS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(1,0)
Is it stopping here because it is for a different machine or does it seem like something else is wrong? Can a boot disk for one machine be used to boot another?

Thomas is quite right - a reminder that TI2009 is not supported using Win7.

Hello all!
C. Lind Aitken, welcome to our Forum! Thank you for finding time to report about the issue.
Thomasjk, bin, thank you very much for your reasonalbe comments!
I just wanted to add that sometimes this error may appear in case you are trying to image or restore the dynamic disks. Unfortunately Acronis True Image Home 2009 doesn't support dynamic disks.
Support for dynamic disks was implemented in Acronis True Image Home 2010 Plus Pack version.
Anyway I'm quite positive that should it be basic disk, downloading the ISO from your account, as suggested by thomasjk, should resolve the issue.
All you need to do it to burn the ISO file onto the CD and test whether the issue persists.
Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!
