Boot Fails with Acrons Loader error

Thread needs solution

ATI Home 2011 update 3 build 6942

Today, after stepping away for an hour or so I came back to find my perfectly working Dell E6410 64k Win 7 machine mysteriously rebooted.

As it came to the Acrons Loader part of the boot it scrolled the normal "Starting Acronis Loader..." message several times, then stopped with: "Acronis Loader fatal error: at least 512kb of conventional memory required..."

I rebooted and ran the HW diagnostic which came up clean.

I tried rebooting several times and the result was the same.

I then hit F11 to launch Acronis Loader and selected "Windows"

Again, same result.

Please help!!

Thanks!

Have you tried doing a reset or complete power-down instead of a standard reboot?

Do you have a Windows 7 DVD or Repair Disc to try doing a boot repair?

My computer starts with "Starting Acronis Loader" before I have a chance to do anything.

I have tried the widows boot disc, but it does not read.
None of the F keys read.
Even the Acronis Loader doesn't read itself--it hangs.

So my computer is frozen or dead with this problem?

Does anyone know what I can do?

Hi Kitty,
This thread is over 3 yrs old. Can you please start your own (new) thread and provide the version and build of Acronis you are using. Also, tell us if you are using a boot CD you created or the install CD that comes with the product. Desktop, Laptop Make/model of your PC and OS, please.
