Boot Media, USB or CD

Thread needs solution

Hallo support team,
I have since yesterday the new version True Image 2015. My PC run with Windows 7 pro x64. For the backup I have an external SSD drive. I make with the new version an USB boot media stick. When I boot with the USB stick (UEFI-mode), I can not see the external USB drive for the backup. When I start the USB stick that I make with True Image 2014, I can see all my external USB drives and I can make the backup. Please make an update of True Image 2015 boot media builder. I will see all my external USB drives for the backup of my PC.
Thanks and best regards from Switzerland.
Peter

Hello,

Don;t get me started on 2014 vs 2015, but I might be able to help you.

When you create the boot media, there is an option to make a standard boot disk, and a UEFI boot disk. I always choose both, then if I boot to UEFI and it does not see my drives, I then reboot and use the other, non-UEFI recovery mode, and that should see your USB disk.

You might have to re-create the boot disk if you did not choose the option when you created the USB boot key.

just a quick note. If the op's SSD is in a USB 3.0 enclousure, the current version (6525) recovery disc/usb will not not see any USB 3.0 drives.

The only USB 3.0 drives I have had any issues using build 6525 with have been Seagate drives. Build 6525 sees all of my other USB 3.0 Samsung and Western Digital drives.

Peter,
Use the following link to request the updated Rescue Media ISO. I believe it is build 6567 and is only available by request.
