Boot media won't detect mouse/keyboard

Thread needs solution

Just wanted to tell everyone that I had difficulty getting Boot media to work with my machine. I upgraded to TI-2010 after upgrading to Win7. Couldn't get mouse/keyboard to work with boot media...burned several CD's to no avail. Funny, my TI-2009 booted fine with the 2009 boot media disc in Win7!? Anyway, after numerous chat messages with support which did not help, I started reading the forums and Knowledge base. I noticed some people mentioning TI rescue in safe mode? I didn't have this option at all in my TI-2010 and no one, not even Tech Support mentioned it. So, while looking at my Acronis account, I noticed some plug-ins that I could download...one of them being safemode. After downloading this file and burning another CD with it, I was FINALLY able to get mouse/keboard support with the Boot Media CD! Just to let you know, I have a wireless keyboard and mouse, Logitech DiNovo Cordless Desktop and it wouldn't work with the newer TI-2010.

Hello dart451,

Thank you for taking time to contact us and sharing the resolution of the issue.

I would also recommend you to download ISO image based on ISOLinux from your account under Registered Products and create Acronis bootable disc using third-party software. ISOLINUX Bootable Media is usually more up to date than the Acronis Loader one. This is due to the fact a new version of Acronis Bootable Media is uploaded to the website more frequently than regular product updates are released. Check if the issue with the mouse and keyboard persists.

ISOLINUX Bootable Media has several boot parameters that may help overcome possible issues with booting and detecting peripheral devices. You can also set a specific VGA resolution in the ISOLINUX media if there an issue with the Graphical User Interface (GUI). Check the following article for more details.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you.
