Boot partition lost
Hi everybody
Since installing the newest version (upgrade) of Acronis True Image 2015 on my HP EliteBook 8770w, I have always the same problem after a full backup (entire machine) to an external harddisk drive.
When booting the next time after the backup has been finished, the boot drive is not found anymore and I have to start the laptop with the Win 7 installation cd (repair mode).
Win 7 installation programms reports the correction done (see pictures attached) .
Does somebody know how to get rid of this ? Thanks for your helpful reply in advance !

Hi Groover
I know...the question is why is Acronis making changes in the BIOS ?

Aaahh, someone else with a BIOS issue caused by TI. It really screwed up mine as well. So badly that the computer failed to reboot until I had to reset the BIOS but that did not fix the issue. The problem, for those interested is posted below as well as in several other posts.
The requested procedure to use bcedit /set would not work correctly on the computer and did not fix the underlying issue which was Acronis TI 2015. I did expect it to have less issues that TI 2014, but I was evidently wrong in my assumptions.
