Boot Problem after addind a harddisk

Thread needs solution

I had a stabile system, with daily backups of of my harddisks. Today I recognized that one harddisk was not included in the daily backup routine, so I added it with the true image function "add harddisk / Laufwerk hinzufügen". True Image wanted a reboot. On the black screen, the boot sequence was changed visibly. After that any booting is unpossible. There comes the message "Reboot and select prober Boot device or insert Boot medie etc." Any edit of the boot sequence in Bios does not help. The system does not boot anymore.

Please help!

Hello Thomas,

Thank you for posting and welcome to the Forum.

Most likely you selected the Add New Disk option which erased everything on the disk that you selected for this operation and made the boot partition inactive. Could you get back to me with this report collected from Acronis True Image 2012 Home so that I can check your partition structure.

Do you have any backups by any chance Thomas?

I am very sorry about this issue and if there is anything we can do for you please let us know.

Thank you.

Thank you for your reply.

I am nearly dead now.

Actually I cannot boot except with the Windows 7 INstallation Disk.

I cannot build the report.

On the backup drive there shall be a system backup, but how to get this?

Please give me further instructions, I am in big troubles.

OK, now I have the System Report.

Its attached.

Please help me further.

Thank You.

Hello Thomas,

Thank you for the update and the report.

According to the report you do not have an active partition and there is no data present on your system partition.

You followed-up with me via a private message and told me that you were able to recover a backup.

We would really appreciate if you could let us know if this issue has been resolved and you were able to boot your machine.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.
