Boot Recovery Disk - TEXT_LINEX_ERROR

Thread needs solution

I purchased ATI Home build 6029, so I have not had previous versions.

I installed and am having several problems, so I decided to start with the Boot Recovery Disk and do a full backup. This would rule out anything running on my system that would interfer its ability to perform properly, as I've read on the forums about the snapapi, the TrueImageHomeService, etc. so using a bootable recovery disk should remove all those variables. Correct?

However I get the "TEXT_LINEX_ERROR_COMMON_DIRECT_RW_FAILED" error, several actually.

I have read many pages on the forums trying to find an answer.
I have run CHKDSK /r on both the source and destination drives with no errors found (twice actually on both).

I've attempted the boot recovery disk several times with the same error.

I am running Windows XP professional SP3 and using a FreeAgent 1TB drive for my destination drive.

I then download the TrueImage2010_s_en.iso from the download section under build 6029 and burned a cd thinking, ok I'll use the offical build from Acronis in case something from my system got in the bootable cd when I created it. But still I get the same error on the boot recovery method.

I have run the AcronisReport.exe, if you could let me know an email address I can email it to you.

Thanks in advance for any help you could provide.

Alan
