At boot time ... "Starting Acronis loader ... fatal error: Boot drive (part.) not found

Thread needs solution

...Press to try to boot your OS ....

has appeared after a disk clone operation. Pressing enter will indeed proceed to a normal Win 7 boot but this is a really ugly warning.

Thought: would run Ac12 and disable/delete/disengage the F11 pre-boot Startup Recovery Manager, but get this error message:

(0x5F0031)
Tag = 0xBA38B07D368C98A3
An invalid parameter. (0x100404)
Tag = 0x5D368534B536CDA9

which means, I guess that it can't be done.

Oddly, even though I have bought a few copies of Ac10/11/12 directly from Acronis, when I try and log in for technical support this very first time via the website it tells me that V10 is no longer supported and doesn't even see my V11 or 12. So here I am, casting myself at your technical mercy!

Many thanks for your help - this surely cannot be a unique fault.

Alan,

Don't use the F11 option. Deactivate from the recovery CD. Do your clone from the Acronis recovery CD.
