Bootable CD - No mouse support

Thread needs solution

I tried using my ATI2010 boot CD last night for the first time since replacing my mouse (used to be Logitech wireless, now basic Microsoft wireless). Although it booted normally, I had no mouse control (mouse arrow was there, but I couldn't move it around). Very frustrating. So in desperation, I pulled out my old ATI 11.0 CD. I was surprised to find that it worked normally. Anyone have an explanation? Or know what I need to do to get 2010 to work? I would have expected better driver support in the newer product.

A second issue I noticed was that my SATA drives were identified as SCSI drives. Any reason why that might happen?

Hello Dogma,

Let me assist you.

Most likely, the standard Acronis Bootable Media can't detect your mouse correctly or doesn't have necessary drivers. I may recommend you to use a special version of the bootable media that you can download from your account. That new media is based on the latest Linux kernel and include the most recent drivers.

  1. Log in to your account;
  2. Once logged in, click My Products & Downloads:

  3. Scroll down to the registered product and click Bootable Media:

  4. Click Download:

  5. Acronis Bootable Media will be downloaded as an ISO file. See Burning an ISO Image.

Additionally, it is normal that your SATA drives are shown as SCSI one. It's a minor issue and you may safely ignore it.

Please reply to this thread if the issue still persists.

Thank you.
