Bootable CD not working

Thread needs solution

I moved to a new pc, installed my TI Home 2009 (build 9615), created a new bootable CD and tried to backup my C drive to an external USB 2.0 drive (650GB).  First error is a black screen (after having selected TI Home in the GUI) saying: "Unable to execute program, press enter to proceed..." I then tried using "noapic and acpi=off' then i get to the TI GUI where i can select my C drive as the source and my E drive as the target (target being on the external USB drive), when i want to proceed with the backup , i get a message saying TI cannot write to the USB drive since it is read only !   On the D drive, there is only 1 primary NTFS partition.

I then tried with the latest build 9796, same story, i even tried another external drive, same story as well... looks like i cannot make a backup to a large external usb drive...any ideas ?

thanks

Hello Paul,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.

Do you have any encryption software? Have you tried to save archive to some internal hard drive?

We are looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience.

Thank you.
