Bootable cd options
using the bootable cd is their a explanation for what all the initial options mean

Unfortunately I am not with the pc at the moment but the initial screen had multiple options i think 1-9. Some mentioned usb i think
I am looking for a description/explanation for each option and what they do or their differences

You must be booting from an older downloaded ISO version of TI.
Those options are just different standard troubleshooting options. Each one has a different set of Linux parameters. Normally, you can just select the default (Normal) option (I think it's the first one). The basic idea was that a user could more easily select a menu option than entering the parameters in manually.
Most of the options disable certain drivers to allow Linux to load. They are listed in the newer versions of the TI manuals. In the TI 2011 manual, they are listed in section 7.2.1.2 Bootable media startup parameters. The options are mostly the same for earlier versions.
