Bootable media builder is broken - only option is to upgrade to 2016
I tried to build a bootable media rescue USB stick with Acronis 2015, but got an error message, and according to Acronis web site (https://kb.acronis.com/content/49112) the only option is to upgrade to 2016. I bought Acronis 2015 and expect its advertised features to work - at least the essential ones. And the only suggested option from Acronis is to buy yet another upgrade, to 2016...!!
Any other options?
EDIT: It seems building rescue media from within the normal Acronis application works fine. It's the separate Bootable media builder that's broken, and that's not so important. Somewhat confusing, if one starts in the wrong place, that's all. However, the bootable USB stick does not work on a Macbook Pro, so it's rather useless after all..

I had no luck with ATI 2015 creating a working bootable media on a USB stick on my 9 year old Dell desktop. The program proceeded to create the media and said it did so successfully but that PC refused to boot up from the stick- though the program did produce a workable, bootable CD. Apparently this is a not uncommon problem wih no known solutions. The same ATI 2015 version, on my newer Dell desktop (from 2014) does successfully create a bootable media on a USB stick which actually works. It's just one of those mysteries I gave up on- since the CD works- though I'd rather have it on a stick.
