Bootable Media comes up completely unreadable

Thread needs solution

I have a dell inspiron with windows 8. When I boot up to the bootable media I get a screen that has no readable info, just some squiggly lines. No keys work to do anything. I read something about pressing F11 to type in vga=ask but F11 does nothing. Any suggestions?

Bootable Media is Linux based, this behavior is exibited when Linux does not recognize your display adapter. You should consider creating a WinPE disk in place of the Bootable Media disk. Regular poster Mustang on this Forum has some prebuilt WinPE downloads available. In the Sticky section of this Forum is discussion and links to his latest build.
