Bootable Rescue Media - Adding additonal files
I'm trying to create a bootable rescue media from my True Image Home 2010....While I have no problems creating the media (CD/DVD), i'm trying to figure out how to add additonal files (I.e the backup image of a PC) onto the rescue media itself, so that the rescue media & data is all in one place.
Here is what I had done so far with NO LUCK:
1. Create Bootable Rescue Media from True Image to an ISO file
2. Use a 3rd party tool (MagicISO) to open the ISO file
3. Add my recovery image to the top level (Not the Recovery Manager folder)
4. Save the new ISO
5. Burn the ISO
When I try to boot, I get the message "Starting Acronis Loader...Boot Failed...Press any key..."
What am I doing wrong? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

That is readily done using Grub4DOS i.e. XBOOT, YUMI, Easy2Boot, etc. What you do is use XBOOT to copy your Rescue Media .iso file onto a disk where you will also keep your .tib backups. Then you can both boot from that disk and save your backups to it. I have multiple USB and eSATA external drives set-up this way.
Maybe you want to backup to a rewriteable DVD instead--that may be doable but I've not tried it. My .tib files are usually bigger than BD discs much less DVD-sized.
