Bootcamp - Using Recovery Disk

I have a new mac and want to restore my last back up disk into the bootcamp partition. I have created and formatted the bootcamp partition but I am not sure what to do next.

I have a recovery CD or a recovery USB but neither seems to be recognised when I boot up into this disk. Are there any clear instructions on how to recover into a newly formatted bootcamp disk?

Do I have to install windows and then acronis before trying to recover the disk?

I gave up with Acronis and rebuilt the disk. Does anybody know of a solution as I want to be able to back up my Windows Bootcamp disk reliably?

Is there a fix in the pipeline. Will the 2015 Acronis version work?
