Booting To 2010 Rescue Media (USB or CD) Results In Frozen Black Screen On Specific Models Of Computers
Hello All -
I love the Acronis 2010 product. Keep the improvements coming.
I've always had a specific issue, theough, that I cannot fix which is becoming more and more of a burdon. When booting to the Bootable / Rescue media created by Acronis 2010 on specific models of computers, if freezes halfway and won't ever work.
The model that I'm having it with today is an HP dx2000MT (Intel). I boot to the media, get to the menu asking for me to choose Acronis True Image, Acronis System Report, or Windows; pick the first option, then get a black screen. I've let it sit for 15 minutes before with no change.
I believe I got a similar result with previous versions of Acronis with this model of computer, but had the option to go to Safe Mode which seemed to work fine.
I've tried creating the media in almost every way and on both USB and CD with the same results. THe biggest problem is that I have 3 of these computers and an image ready to go!
Please help! Thanks!

Hello Ben,
Thank you for your post. I will definitely help you with this.
It appears the issue is caused by our bootable media incorrectly detecting your video card.
I was not able to find any registered Acronis products in your Acronis account, that is why can you please do the following:
1. Download the latest version of our bootable media from your Account once your register our software.
2. Boot from the bootable media and as soon as you see the words "Starting Acronis Loader" please press the F11 key.
You will get a prompt where you can provide your own custom resolution and I believe this will resolve the problem. Please check this article for instructions.
I appreciate your detailed description of the issue, if you are still unable to proceed, please let me know in as much detail as possible at what point our bootable media fails to work.
Thank you.

Thank you for your suggestions. I do not have any registered products under my name as I registered with my personal information and not under the company I work for who owns the product.
I'll try to get the login details from work so that I may download the newest version, then try what you suggested. Since I was under a time crunch, I went ahead and popped the hard drives into a different model computer and imaged them there yesterday, but thank you very much for you r reply.
Have a great day - Thanks
