Booting from a Bootable Rescue CD

Thread needs solution

Last week I struggled to recover disc 1 of my PC which I eventually did using my Bootable Rescue CD. Now this has been done I now want to backup a full disc Image. If I now re boot my PC from the Acronis Bootable Rescue disc I am invited to open Acronis & I am duly presented witrh a text screen showing the Acronis logo & a text message to wait while Acronis is loading. Unfortunately nothing more happens. The HELP instructions I find are next to useless as they do not detail a Step By Step approach & I am left wondering whether I have missed a vital link e.g. should I have Activated the Startup Recovery Manager first or are the issues totally unrelated. The reason for this doubt is that I was originally directed to a page which detailed a work around leading to modifying a command line i.e. quiet acpi=off noapic. ~ this page was inferring that I should press F11 whether I boot from the CD or Acronis Startup Recovery Manager ~ but F11 is only an option IF you have ACTIVATED Acronis Startup Recovery Manager.
Can anyone bring clarification to this issue please?

The SRM isn't the cause here. Try removing any usb devices including hubs and card readers. Also if you have a wireless keyboard and mouse try using the wired versions if available.

For further suggestions please state the version and build number of True Image you are using.

It worked at the second attempt after disconnecting some of the USB devices ~ many thanks for the suggestion. However the technology seems a bit hit or miss! somtimes it works & sometimes it doesn't.
With this success, I am not sure how to terminate this thread?
