"BOOTMGR is Missing" on startup, and a "good" defrag?

Thread needs solution

ATI Boot CD manager won't let me increase C: partition size on my new bigger HD (followed .pdf manual...)?-
I use slider to go from 29.2 to 60.2, and it "looks" like it Restores normally (not!)-
Bootmgr is always "permanently" corrupted/missing (no MS win 7 disk/forum suggested repairs... have worked (tried 6))!?

I've been trying different settings for two days, and have run out of ideas?
I read on the MyDefrag site- that MyDefrag (& many other 3d party defragmenters) conflicts with ATI, so I uninstalled MyDefrag before my last Backup.

I've also tried several "Add New Disk" variations, and I have my original 29.2 system back?

Q?- Does anybody know of a "Good" 3d party defrag program, that doesn't conflict with ATI?

If the original 29.2GB partition is set Active verify that the new 60.2GB partition is still Active after the restore. If it's not, Windows repair won't fix it (though it shouldn't need repaired if it is).

If a different partition is set Active, verify that that partition is still Active after the restore. An example of this would be the System Reserved partition.
