BSOD Windows 7 64

Thread needs solution

Afer installing Acronis 2010 on my Windows 7 64.  Every couple of mins. I get a BSOD.  When attempting to remove this application from the Add remove problems it generated a BSOD everytime.

I have submited a trouble ticket with a mini memory dump but after almost 2 weeks I have not heard anything from Acronis support.

Oh wow.  Will they have patches or move on to 2011..."Non-stop Online Backups"?  This is disappointing.  How is this company still in business?

Based on past practice, I'd predict that a new build will be released around the beginning of 2010 that will fix a couple but not all of the morer serious probs, after which time Acronis will stop any developmental work on the current version and focus resources on the next version, come he_l or high water

Have you tried using msconfig to remove all services (except windows srvices) and all startup programs, rebootng, then trying the uninstall?

That's also how I'd install ATI on any machine.

Afterwards, us ms config to return to normal startup.

This is the forum post that helped me...

But it's really poor.  I have to choose between using my media card reader or ATI2010.  I don't get anymore BSOD's by disabling my reader, but it's really crappy work from Acronis.

I was able to get ATI2010 removed with a system restore.

I have no desire to install this pre beta software on my computer again.

I just want my money back but that seems like that will be difficult task since it is impossible to talk to someone in customer service or support.

Best bet is contact Customer Svc or Sales through the Contact Us , Have Questions, Start Here link on this page:

Scott, I also tried that "best bet" 3 weeks ago. They are not responding at all. There is literally no support.

Chat is sometimes recommened as being faster.

Unfortunately, when a new version is released, because of the bugs, Support can get totally swamped.

If you are looking for a refund, be sure you contact them within 30 days, even if they don't respond promptly, you still have some record that you made the request within the alloted time.

It's not a happy situation.
