BU to restore of Win 10 partitions results in corrupted restored partition.

Thread needs solution

Have made several attempts to move  Win 10 installations from one  partition to another all resulting in new corrupted installations not working, sometimes with limited unusable (parts of) Win 10 desktops.

I have used 2 different win 10 source partitions and tried to install on different target partitions from the images. I have also made 2 images from the same source part, both failed. All is done on the same PC with 2 HDD:s and 6 partitions.

If I do the same witha win 8.1 part. it works fine.

Cannot understand the reason for the failed BU-restore.

Can it be the fact that I worked with win 10 part that is the cause.

Can it be so that MS have built in someting in win 10 upgrade that prevents copying with ATI home 2015 (or any other cloning SW)??

I use ATIh 2015 build 6613.

Anyone else that have made BU to restore on a win 10 part.

I would appreciate a comment/explanation from ACRONIS:

Hi again all

Maybe this is a very odd and special issue for most forum readers but I am somewhat suprised that not anyone from ACRONIS is interrested in this problem.

To me it seems as this is either an ATIh 2015 issue or it is so that Windows 10 cannot be handeled by ATIh 2015 for some reason. Since a lot of user are migrating to Win 10 it must be of outmost importance for  ACRONIS that Win 10 systems can be handeled by True Image products in the future.

Finally I shortly repeat the issue:

If I backup and restore a win 10 installation from one to another partition the new partition is totally unusable. I can only see some unusable fragments of a desktop after starting. Have tried several partitions and used both Rescue Disc and installed versions of ATIh 2015 with the same neg. result.

If I do the same with a Windows 8.1 installation all works OK without any problen.

I appreciate any comments or hints for a solution .

Kind Regards  / Bjolen
