Bugs: have they fixed 'em?

Thread needs solution

I've been with Acronis since before they started using years to indicate their versions.

Things worked pretty well, then they started mucking with the interface, causing regressions and overall frustrations. Their support staff had a really hard understanding how things /work/ about a year ago when I had a major issue.

So, Acronis, you might stop getting my money. Let's see whether you've fixed the following:
Chapter I: boot disk functionality.
1)General slow response times without indicators that the system is doing anything or even still running (vs locked up). Informative dialog boxes that say things such as "Acronis True Image" when the system is working on something. Then the dialog closes but the system is still hung up working on something.
2)If you go to restore a partition, and you select a different letter for the partition, and you go back to change the letter back, the original letter is gone forever and you're going to have to start over. Have fun with 1).
3) I wonder if you can create folders for your backups. This feature didn't make it into the release of 2014 but they patched it in eventually.

Chapter II: Acronis the Windows Program
1) Please find a way not to lock up the entire system when acronis runs into a file system error or bad block. Bonus points for reporting the error.
2) Reliable notifications are REQUIRED
A) For the last month, acronis has decided it doesn't want to send me emails when it fails any more. Not great behavior for a system we rely on to keep our data safe. If the notification fails, FIND ANOTHER WAY TO INFORM THE USER
B) There has got to be some way on god's green earth to just pop up a stupid dialog box to tell us when something has gone wrong with Acronis. Then we wouldn't have to worry about the email thing. If only someone had some way to make a box of some sort appear on the user's screen. Maybe with magic.
C) Report success / failure with some sort of dependability. When Chapter II Part 1) happens, do you know what the acronis log shows? It shows that the OPERATION HAS COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY. How can this happen? Do you just default to reporting success unless you find a failure that you can catch?
D) Right now I have a nightly backup that copies crucial files. This backup now fails consistently and hangs up acronis. Back in the old days, I could go into the backup folder and delete the latest batch of archives, and Acronis would gracefully pick up with the latest version and move on. But I digress. When I try to clone my settings for said backup set, acronis does a little dance of becoming active and inactive really fast for about 3 minutes. I have found nothing that can close the window or otherwise halt this nonsense.

So can anyone report on any of this? Do I have to spend $30 again to keep rewarding them for tweaking the UI while the underlying system gets worse or regresses?

Thank you,
Ben
