C drive used space increases when deleting backup files from remote HD via Acronis 2015
I am using Acronis TI 2015, build 6613 on my Windows 7 pro PC. When I delete unneeded backup files from my external HD using the Acronis TI 2015 backup program, the files on the external HD delete correctly. However, the used space on my PC's C drive increases as though the deleted files went to the Recycle Bin, but the Recycle Bin is empty. In this last case, when I deleted two external HD files, my used C drive space went from 128 GB to 300 GB. I tried doing a Disk Cleanup from the C drive properties screen, but it did not delete the large increase. I then tried a Disk Cleanup from my McAfee Virus Scan program, and the C drive went back to 128 GB. Before starting the Disk Cleanup, I did not see any large files to be deleted.
Where do the deleted backup files go when doing the deletion from Acronis? It appears they go somewhere other than the Recycle Bin on the C drive. If I knew where they went, I might be able to deleted them manually, instead of relying on using Mcafee Disk Cleanup.
