C: drive will not clone, destination disks GREY

I choose clone, then I choose C: as a source, then all my disks that are plugged in are grey and not selectble for cloning. So I boot from Startup recovery manager and that app has no clone function. Very annoying.

I had to backup then restore in 2 steps wasting alot of my time.
