Calendar entry of succesful task shown as failed

Thread needs solution

I am using Acronis True Image Home 2010, Build 7.046, on a Windows Vista PC. I have 2 planned tasks: email backup and a backup of my two disks. Each task runs every 2 days - alternative. In the Backup list of the planned tasks (Page: Tasks and Logs) both tasks are shown as successfully finished. When I was sitting at the PC I even could see from the small pop up windows the the tasks were started and finished successfully.
But in the calendar presentation I see on some days (not for all days) the day marked red, meaning the the tasks was not successful.

I am in doupt whether my system is really protected by Acronis True Image Home.

Has anybody seen a similar behavior? Is it only a bug in the calendar presentation?
I don´t know which one is right: The backup list or the calendar presentation.

Hi Bruno, the Calendar representation will not necessarily show whether the tasks have been successful - the red marks are there if anything has not worked as correctly as TI thought it might and so will flag it as something which may need to be investigated further. Sometimes it is a validation that has failed and others simply a job didn't begin correctly because of some other activity on the PC at the time.

If the log shows no catastrophic failure then all should be ok but you could always run another validation to make sure it is.

thanks for your explanations - although I didn´t understand all.
I have only one scheduled job for saturday, Platten_C_D (Samstag, 09. Oktober 2010 14:00:03) (that is: Backup of disc C+D at 2 pm). And there is one log for this job telling me that the backup was successful. But there is another entry in the list of backup results : no job name, date only 09. October 2010 19:00:02. But there is no job scheduled for 7 pm ( = 19:00:00 Uhr). And this log says

I have set up my backup story completely new 3 weeks ago and it looks like that the job with errors runs only once a week, always at saturday. Could it be that this is a relict from my former backups where the scheduled job was not completely deleted? How can I get rid of that enoying error message?

What is a validation? Sorry for the question, but I am a complete noob when using Acronis True Image Home. I don´t know if my backup definitions are really correct and I rely on the messages of the software. When the software says my system is completely protected I feel safe. I never tried to test the recovery - I am waiting until my system really crashes and hope that recovery will work correct. The acronis handbook is too complex for me and I have nobody here in my neigbourhood who could help me to set up my backup definitions correctly.

Would be nice if you can help me, at least for the job with errors.
