can i Disable "Tasks & Log" ?

Hello
Is there the possibility to disable "Tasks & Log" ? I use Acronis True Image Home 2010. I don't need the option,there.
And by the way : when i do the recovery with Bootable CD,it's preety slow when i press "browse for backup"
It takes about 40-50 seconds after i press this button.
Do i have another choice ,to use the recovery option,with another bootable CD / DVD,excepting Acronis TI 2010 ??
