Can I do this?
I have a large capacity external Hard Drive, and I want to partition it with many partitions approximating those of the many smaller, single partition (back Up) Hard Drives I have.
I then want to clone these Hard Drives each to one of the partitions on the new large drive.

Before I do this, I want to know that it will work with out any problems

You can't clone like that. Cloning replaces the partitions on the destination drive with those of the source drive.

You could create backup images and save those on the external. Otherwise, you could copy the contents to the partitions on the external or copy the partitions using software other than TI (DD, for example).
