Can I reinstall Acronis True Image 2013? If not, what is cost of upgrade to latest version?

Thread needs solution

I thought I was being smart by attempting to eliminate unnecessary backups on my Seagate external drive from my Dell laptop, using Acronis 2013. Now I have a mess on Acronis and would like to reinstall the product. Can this be done, without cost? (I'm not a rich man!). If this is not possible, then I'd like to reset my Seagate (wipe it clean), erase current Acronis, and install the 2017 version and start my backing-up fresh. What's the cost of the 2017 version?  Perhaps more simply stated, how would I erase the whole mess and start over!?  Currently, my Acronis 2013 is showing "Backup," "My Discs," and "Partitions."  The "My Discs" is new, and all but "Partitions" is telling me it'll take 4 hours for my not-so-cluttered laptop!

Perhaps, obviously, I'm not a geek!  Thank you so much for your assistance!!  -Bob (imhis08@yahoo.com)  Not sure if I can find this page again; pleeease reply using my email addy. THANK YOU!!!!

Bob,

Might want to remove your personal email from your post.  It's open to any/every one and spam bots and other creepy stuff are known to graze for this kind of info in forums.  Up to you though.

Any previously purchased versions you have, should be in your account where they can be downloaded again and reinstalled at no cost.  You have to log into your account to access previously purchased products and can then download them.  This assumes you purchased from Acronis, or if you purchased a boxed version, you went online and registered it with your account already.

**EDIT** Upgrades are $29.99 for a single perpetual license or $39.99 to upgrade to 3 perpetual licenses on the main Acronis page, but to activate an upgrade, you must also have your old license too. http://www.acronis.com/en-us/personal/upgrade-backup/

You should contact Acronis customer support directly for any licensing, account, registration, or purchasing questions though. This is just the user forum so you really want to deal directly with Acronis on these issues since they're the only ones who can really help you in these cases.

If you want to completely cleanup and start over, I would remove Acronis from control panel "add/remove programs" and then run the cleanup tool.  If you have existing backups, you can hold onto those or delete those manually after that.  I usually hold onto old backups for awhile as a safetynet (just in case), but to each there own.  Once I have enough new backups (at least one current, new one where I know I won't need anythinf from the older ones), then I might go in and delete the old ones to free up space.

After cleaning up, then you can re-install "fresh" using the installer download from your account for 2013 or your new 2017 purchase.  Always run installers (for any applicatoin) by right-clicking and selecting to "run as administrator" and not just double clicking the .exe installer file.  You should do this, even if logged in with an admin account already as that is the only way to gain full admin access to the system when UAC is enabled (and it should be) in Windows Vista - Windows 10.
