Can I use TI2010 (standalone) to create a clone of a Dell PERC 320 RAID array that has Red Hat ES3 installed on it?

Thread needs solution

I would like to make a clone to a much larger SATA drive and remove the Dell PERC RAID 0 array entirely. Can TI2010 standalone read the RAID array and make an image of it that I can put on the SATA drive and then run this machine from the SATA drive from now on? How should I go about it?

Hello otten,

Let me answer your question.

Unfortunately, you can't use Acronis True Image in your case. Even if you will create an image of your Linux system, we can't guarantee that it will be bootable after the restoration process.

In such situations Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Server for Linux should be used. Additionally, I recommend you ti have a look at this KB article to have an information on how to recover Linux to a dissimilar hardware.

Please reply to this thread if you have any other questions.

Thank you.
