Can not add back up file to back up list

Thread needs solution

Hello,

When I try to add a back up file to the back up list, I get the error in the image attached. What does this error mean? Is there something wrong with the back up file itself?

Please help!

It is possible that the backup file is corrupt, or that you may actually be missing part of a backup set (version chain).
Did you make this backup file in 2013, or was it created in an earlier version. Is it a disk/partition backup, a file backup, non-stop backup etc.?
Have you tried validating the file while booted to your Acronis Rescue Media?

Jenna,

This type of error can happen when users move/rename backups manually using Windows explorer, and then tries to add back the backups. Because of the move, the internal database of ATI is not up to date, but when adding back, ATI can match the file with an existing task and nothing gets added to the backup list.

I found that the file is corrupt when downloading. Since then I have managed to download a version that is not corrupt. Thank you for the help.
