Can not backup to multiple USB flash drives

Thread needs solution

Acronis 2010
I am trying to back up my entire Windows 7 machine to a USB flash drive. However I need two flash drives to accomplish the task.
I set everything up correctly as far as I can tell. The destination drive says "removable drive" when I select it as the destination. I have tried both Automatic and Fixed size options for breaking up the files.
In both scenarios, instead of asking for another flash drive Acronis just reports the drive as full and gives me the option to delete files (there are no others) retry or cancel.

Is there some "trick" to making it ask for additional flash drives?

Thanks,

Clive

Make backup with split size files to a hdisk, then manually copy the backups to whatever assortment of disks you choose. When you want to restore, copy the files back to a hdisk or other single disk big enough to hold them.

Thank you for your reply.

So, what you are actually saying is that Acronis does not support backup to multiple Flash drives directly.

I have to backup to an external portable hard drive using splits and then copy the splits to the flash drives.
Basically a non-starter. No point.

I wish they would make it clearer in the help file and before the backup starts as oppose to when it fills the flash drive.
It does do that check against the raw capacity of the drive, so it should be able to do it against the free space.
