Can not boot with Acronis 2013 rescue boot CD
Have successfully installed Acronis 2013 on my XP Pro SP3 32bit downstairs machine.. Have made first full backup without issues. Also was able to 'import' at startup all previous tibs created with ATIH 2011
Created rescue media...I think successfully...but having same issue as I had with 2011 ( http://forum.acronis.com/forum/37493 )
Does the CD have to be a r/w DVD for successful operation ? Have a RW DVD that boots fine into Windows...but when I try Acronis I can not get past :
Loading, please wait
no raid disks
and/or I get the following errors in the following jpg:
I get additional screens but this one basically sums it up...(img00247.jpg)...I can reboot...but can't get into the Acronis recover screen thru the boot Cd's startup screen...choosing Windows boots Windows...choosing Acronis results..eventuall...in the attached jpg error
I have reset my PC's bios to system defaults...Windows boots fine...Acronis CD opens but will not boot to Acronis option...only boots to Windows option !!??
Thanks....TiminAz
Any ideas or hints on what NOT to do when creating a ATIH2013 resource CD ?

Is this the info you need...this system/MB/etc is only about 5-6 years old
Also tried via an Acronis iso file...burn to CD on another PC's CD Burner.......then I get:
Loading, please wait
no raid disks
and a blinking cursor...have to reboot to get out of Liniux screen....

The first screen capture shows the RAM disk and Linux Kernel unable to be loaded. This seems to be an issue where the Acronis 2013 Linux based Rescue Media does not support the hardware properly in your system. It looks as though you have NVidia hard disk controllers with an AMD CPU. The chipset (probably NVidia) that supports the CPU and the peripherals on your system board may not be supported in the Linux based Rescue Media.
You may have to open a support case with Acronis to get a working copy of Rescue Media that can support your hardware.

Start here: http://www.acronis.com/support/contact-us.html
In Step one on left hand pull down, select "Technical Issues", in the right hand pull down, select "I'm using a full version".
You will then have to login to your Acronis account with your user name and password.
Select "True Image 2013 by Acronis" from the pull down and click ok.
After logging in, skip Step 2, and look in the center of the screen for "To solve recovery issue" "Click here" and click it.
This will allow access to all the support options (chat, email, etc.).
Use chat if possible for fastest response.

Success...Success...Success...Success...Success...Success...Success...well 98% anyway !!
Noticed yesterday when I was in Windows XP...the CD drive would always show up...but...sometimes the contents were there...sometimes they weren't ?? Had an extra/none used CD drive in the box so I removed the current CD drive and replaced it with the unused one...(same make/modle..etc)
And voila...boot disk load completely...Linux recovery starts...and I can create new tibs and/or validate other tibs created with 2011 on my storage hdd.
Now for the 98% part...from the recover Linux screen...if I try to start Windows rather than ATHI2012...I get a new screen saying only Press any key to Reboot...alas...no access to Windows XP via the Acronis Rescue Screen...not a big deal cause only time I need CD is to run Acronis...otherwise hdd is the 1st boot device.
Thanks to all that helped...was a hardware related issue as stated above...but apparently not configuration thing...but looks like a faulty (sometimes) CD drive
