Cannot backup UNC path or network drive
Hi,
I'm Using ATI 2015 build 6613.
This was upgraded from 2013 to 2014 to 2015.
For many months I was able to backup data in a network drive using ATI 2013 and 2014. Then one day it stopped working and I was getting an error:
Backup***_ Task is waiting for user interaction.
Description: Stage Description
Information: Failed to back up file or folder '\\?\UNC\<my server name>\<share name>'.
Details:
I then upgraded to ATI 2015 (had to pay again!), and was getting the same error.
I recreated the job from scratch: same error.
Replaced the network drive with UNC path: same error.
Used IP address in the UNC pathe instead of server name: same error.
I really need this reslved and am asking for help please.

Y A - did you change account permissions on the system, change or add a homegroup, or change permissions on the share at all since originally setting it up?
I'd check for any saved credentials to that UNC path in Windows credential manager (control panel) and delete those. Then modify the following registry key to remove the saved credentials in Acronis (https://forum.acronis.com/forum/112041#comment-334760)
Reboot and test the connection again in Acronis and you should get the option to re-enter credentials and see if it works any better after that.
Alternatively, after removing the windows manager credentials and rebooting. Try setting up a new backup task to thes same share and test the connection first and run it and see if it can connect or not.
